Description
The VA Medical Center, 1101 Veterans Drive, Lexington, Kentucky has a construction requirement for Project No. 596-07-110ES, Replace HVAC FCU System, Upgrade miscellaneous Deficiencies, Building 27-G, LD. Contractor will be required to provide all labor, material, demolition and removal of existing structures, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to complete the project in accordance with specifications and drawings of VA-249-07-IB-0148. Work shall include replacing multiple deficiencies noted in an area approximately 14,800-square feet. This area is used to support a multiple bed nursing home. Work shall include architectural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, and communication systems. Completion time for project is 210 calendar days after issued notice to proceed. North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code assigned to this construction project is 238220 with a small business size standard of $13 million. The estimated cost range for this project is $500,000 to $1,000,000. THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET ASIDE TO SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOB) CONTRACTORS. The SDVOB must be small under relevant NAICS code and must be registered and verified in the following websites: www.vip.vetbiz.gov www.ccr.gov and https://orca.bpn.gov to be eligible for award. Bidders must ensure their registrations are updated, correct, and have not expired. Information regarding the site visit scheduled will be stated in the solicitation. Bond information: A 20% Bid bond must be submitted with bid. The awardee shall be required to provide both a performance bond and a payment bond in 100% of the award amount. This solicitation will be posted on or about August 27, 2007 at the Federal Business Opportunities (Fedbizopps) website www.fedbizopps.gov Amendments will not be mailed, but will be posted at this website as well. In order to receive e-mail notification of any new amendments that have been issued and posted, you must register to "Receive Notification." Bidders are reminded they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to bid opening.
