- Description
- One time buy for smoke detector, battery powered, photoelectric. ALARM, SMOKE, AUTOMATIC (BATTERY POWERED SMOKE DETECTOR, (PHOTOELECTRIC)Shall conform with the applicable requirements for smoke detectors of Underwriters Laboratories Inc. UL 217, Single and Multiple Station Smoke Detectors; and shall have the following characteristics: Application - Residential. Power - New and unused 9 volt alkaline dry battery (ANSI/NEDA C18.1 Number 1604A) shall be included. Circuitry - Solid state throughout. Mounting - Ceiling/wall mounting with appropriate hardware, screws, and mounting plates included. Validation - Test capability for smoke sensing and alarm with automatic reset. SPECIAL NOTE: Each unit package shall contain the Smoke Detector, 9 volt battery, and necessary mounting hardware. Unit of issue - EA (each) Product Conformance. The products provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this purchase description, conform to the producer?s own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial market. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance. UL 217 Compliance. UL listing or a test report from an independent testing laboratory acceptable to the Government stating that the smoke detector is in conformance with UL 217, may be acceptable as evidence of conformance to UL 217. Application for copies of UL standards should be addressed to Underwriters Laboratories Inc., 333 Pfingsten Road, Northbrook, IL 60062. Battery Maximum age on delivery one hundred fifty (150) days from date of manufacture. Delivery is required 30 days after receipt of order.
