Description: The U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center Space Superiority Systems Wing (SYSW) is requesting Industry participation during an initial Industry Day scheduled for 26 January 2007 from 0800 ? 1200 PST at the A-8 Auditorium of The Aerospace Corporation 2350 E. El Segundo Blvd., El Segundo, CA 90245. At this Industry Day, the Government team will brief attending contractors on the goals, requirements and potential strategy for acquiring SYSW sustainment support services for existing and potential future SYSW Offensive Counter Space (OCS), Defensive Counter Space (DSC), Space Situational Awareness (SSA), and Command and Control (C2) systems. Following the presentation and general Q & A session, the Operations Support and Sustainment team will conduct one-on-one discussions up to the TS/SCI level. Each one-on-one session will be limited to 30 minutes and will be limited to five (5) individuals per contractor team. Contractors who desire to reserve a one-on-one session at the Industry Day must submit their request to Major Russ Swart (310) 416-1590, Russell.swart@losangeles.af.mil. NLT 22 January 2007. Small business is encouraged to participate. The applicable NAICS code for this Industry Day is 334220. An Ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. ALL clearances MUST be received NLT 22 January 2007. SYSW is the single manager for a family of space control systems, support systems, and associated intelligence platforms. SYSW is responsible for sustaining and improving all space systems within its portfolio. SYSW Operations Support and Sustainment Division (SYSW/OS) has developed a sustainment support program and will administer current and potential future sustainment support efforts for SYSW OCS, DCS, and SSA C2 systems. SYSW/OS is reviewing the strategy of establishing a pool of qualified contractors, to include small business, for Contractor Logistics Support (CLS). Sustainment Support Program requirements are broken out into functional areas of: Depot & Sustaining Engineering (D&SE), Studies & Analysis, System Upgrades and Modifications, and Rapid Reaction Capability Sustainment. It includes the sustainment support services required for various SYSW family of space systems, programs, and projects that may include but are not limited to, Counter Communication System (CCS), Joint Execution and Tasking System for Space (JETSS), Space Test and Training Range (STTR), Space Based Space Surveillance (SBSS), and Rapid Attack Identification Detection and Reporting System (RAIDRS). Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) will be the main area of discussion. CLS products and services consist of depot and sustaining engineering (D&SE), repairable and disposable item management, stock store and issue of spares, hardware and software maintenance and repairs, sparing level analysis and re-procurement activities, operation and maintenance of Depot Support Facilities (DSFs), support to field level maintenance activities, and security support, precuts and services. Additional integrated logistic support services include but are not limited to, the sustainment support elements (manpower, personnel, maintenance, supportability, systems engineering, data management, supply, transportation, configuration management, and training), planning, configuration control, analyses, studies, technical manual reviews, logistics data review, document review, and periodic sustainment program reviews.
