- Description
- The Portland VA Medical Center, Portland OR intends to negotiate a sole source procurement in accordance with FAR Part 13 with McKesson, 2600 Meridian Parkway, Durham, NC 27713. This procurement is for the purchase of an upgrade of the current inpatient automation support software package (McKesson Connect-RxT Release 6.7), the update of the dedicated AcuDose-Rx server, and the upgrade and optimization of the pharmacy robot. The software is proprietary and interfaces with the current VA computer system (VISTA). The package includes: 2 EA - Microsoft Windows Server 2003 license & CALs for the Server and DataStation replacement PC, 2 EA - Microsoft Windows 2003 Operating System Licensing for the Server and DataStation PC replacement, 1 EA - Microsoft Windows XP Operating System Licensing for the replacement interface PC and all cabinet PCs currently residing on the Windows NT Operating System, 1 EA - Microsoft SQL Server Std Edition 2000 licensing for the DataStation PC replacement, 1 EA - Updated PCAnywhere version 11 licensing for the server and client replacement PCs, 1 EA - Microsoft Windows Server 2003 license for the Connect-Rx Test PC, 1 EA - Microsoft SQLServer 2000 Std Server Edition for the Connect-Rx Test PC, 1 EA - Microsoft Windows XP Operating System for the Test Interface PC, 6 EA - Memory Upgrade to 512 MB or RAM on 5 Cabinet PCs and 1 Support Station PC, 1 EA - Dell PowerEdge 2900 Xeon server, 1 EA Dell Optiplex GX520 interface pc replacement, 1 EA - Dell PowerEdge 830 DataStation PC replacement, 6 EA - AcuDose-Rx cabinet replacement PCs, 3 EA - AcuDose-Rx cabinet hard drive replacements, 1 EA - Dell GX520 Optiplex Test Server PC, 1 EA - Dell GX520 Optiplex Test Interface PC, 16 Hours - Accudose training, 2 EA - user and service manuals. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
