Description
This is an Announcement for COMMERCIAL ITEMS. A written solicitation (SF 1449) will be issued on August 23, 2007. The solicitation number for this request is Q9530070003. This Request For Quote will be awarded as a Firm-Fixed Price Order for Commercial Items, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This acquisition is Set-aside for Small Business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 541690; the size standard is $11.5 million. The National Park Service, San Juan Island National Historical Park, P.O. Box 429, Friday Harbor, WA 98250, has a requirement for a Firm Fixed Price Supply contract, with installation, for a LOW POWER WIRELESS (RADIO FREQUENCY) FIRE DETECTION, NOTIFICATION AND INTRUSION ALARM SYSTEM, with performance time of 60 days from the Date of the Notice to Proceed. The work is to be accomplished at the English Camp and American Camp areas of San Juan Island National Historic Park, Friday Harbor, Washington. The English Camp site consists of six (6) facilities. The American Camp site consists of five (5) facilities. Both sites have various components of existing fire and security systems, which are to be removed as part of this scope of work. There are two facilities at each camp (American Camp Visitor Center and Fire Cache; English Camp Barracks and Maintenance Shop) that are capable of providing the necessary infrastructure for the main control panels of the proposed systems. All other facilities will be outfitted with wireless initiating/notification devices. The pump houses at the two camps do not need fire detection devices. The existing fire detection system at the Maintenance Shop should be incorporated into the new system. If that is not technically feasible, designs submitted for this project should indicate how it will be replaced. FAR Clause 52.212-3, "Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items" can be accessed at www.orca.gov and is required to be completed on the Internet for access by the Contracting Officer. The Contracting Officer for this solicitation is Joyce E. Bolin, North Cascades National Park, 810 State Route 20, Sedro Woolley, WA 98284. E-Mail: joyce_bolin@ nps.gov.
