Description
The Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board (DNFSB) intends to release an unrestricted Request for Quotations (RFQ) for a new physical access control system at its four floors of leased office space at 625 Indiana Avenue NW in Washington, DC. The system must utilize Federal Information Processing (FIPS) standard 201 approved components and/or sub-systems (e.g., FIPS 201 approved transparent card readers) as required to implement Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD)-12 (further information regarding FIPS approved products can be found at http://idmanagement.gov), and must be able to support the use of compliant HSPD-12 identification cards, including cards issued by the General Services Administration's Managed Service Office which will be used to control physical access to DNFSB's office space. The applicable NAICS code is 561621. Award of a firm-fixed-priced contract using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items) procedures is anticipated. Pursuant to FAR 12.203, solicitation, evaluation, and award will be performed using simplified acquisition procedures to the maximum extent practicable. Release of the RFQ (which will include the Statement of Work and detailed instructions on submitting quotations) is planned for no later than the week of July 9, 2007 via the Government's electronic posting Web site at http://www.fedbizopps.gov (reference solicitation DNFSB-07-Q-002). It is anticipated that quotations will be due on July 31, 2007. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT DISTRIBUTE HARD COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION; DISTRIBUTION WILL ONLY BE DONE VIA THE AFOREMENTIONED METHOD SO FIRMS SHOULD NOT RESPOND TO THIS NOTICE BY REQUESTING TO BE PLACED ON A SOLICITATION MAILING LIST. The RFQ will have instructions for providing questions and comments. DNFSB anticipates that all subsequent RFQ documents (e.g., responses to questions) will be disseminated to offerors via the same method. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (22-JUN-2007). IT ACTUALLY APPEARED OR REAPPEARED ON THE FEDBIZOPPS SYSTEM ON 22-AUG-2007, BUT REAPPEARED IN THE FTP FEED FOR THIS POSTING DATE. PLEASE CONTACT fbo.support@gsa.gov REGARDING THIS ISSUE.
