Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego, Seal Beach Division intends to award a sole source contract to Clarus Technologies, LLC., Bellingham, WA 98226-7632 for the following items: Precoat Filter, Model PST 50 (1 EA); On site Support for filter (1 JB). Delivery date is 30 Days ADO. The authority for this sole source action is U.S.C. 2304(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the Agency?s requirement. The required equipment must be form, fit and functionally compatible with existing equipment that is components of a mobile bilge and oily wastewater treatment system of Ship Rework Facility Yokosuka Japan. The design entails the integration of various process units designed to be married together. Clarus is the mfg and owns the patent rights. A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. This notice is for information only. It is not a requ est for proposals or a solicitation of offers. The applicable NAICS code is 333298, and the size standard of 500 employees. The RFQ number is N00244-07-T-0822. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2007-0802 and DFARS Change Notice 20070802. It is the contractor?s responsibility to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. Cooperation with Authorities and Remedies; 52.222-21, Prohibition of Segregated Facilities; 52.222-26, Equal Opportunity; 52.222-35, Equal Opportunity for Special Disabled Veterans, Veterans of the Vietnam Era, and Other Eligible Veterans; 52.222-36, Affirmative Action for Workers with Disabilities; 52.222-37, Employment Reports on Special Disabled Veterans, Veterans of the Vietnam Era, and Other Eligible Veterans; 52.222-39, Notification of Employee Rights Concerning Payment of Union Dues or Fees; 52.232-33, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer ? Central Contractor Registration. Quoters are reminded to include a completed copy of 52.212-3 ALT I with quotes. All clauses shall be incorporated by reference in the order. The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within ten days after date of publication of this synopsis. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. Quoters must be registered in the CCR database to be considered for award.
