- In the following sources sought synopsis, General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service, South Central Service Center seeks potential sources for a government acquisition for the installation of power factor correction for the electric service in six General Services Administration buildings located in Midland, Houston, and Galveston, Texas. NO PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AT THIS TIME. This request for information is being used as a marketing research tool to determine the availability and adequacy of potential business concerns for the pending solicitation. Based on a review of the industry responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis, the Government will decide whether it is appropriate to offer the solicitation as a full and open procurement or a set aside. The Government is not obligated to nor will pay for any information received from any potential sources as a result of this synopsis. The anticipated North American Industries Classification System (NAICS) code is 238210 and the small business size standard is $13 million. This is a Sources Sought Synopsis. There is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The contractor shall determine the power factor correction necessary to achieve a minimum power factor of 95% for each building. The contractor shall then provide all labor and equipment necessary to achieve a minimum power factor of 95% in each building. The contractor shall guarantee the minimum 95% corrected power factor for five (5) years from the date of installation acceptance by the Government, up to the amount of the equipment purchase price. Verification during the five-year period will be based on the previous twelve months? consumption history. Should the installed equipment fail to achieve a minimum 95% power factor during the five year guarantee period, the contractor shall either repair the existing equipment or install additional equipment necessary to restore the minimum 95% power factor, at no cost to the government. All installations shall comply with all national, state, and local codes. The contractor shall warrant all labor and equipment for five (5) years from the date of installation acceptance by the government. Please submit a capabilities statement indicating your interest and ability to meet the aforementioned requirements. Please include the name and address of your firm, whether you are a large or small business, a point of contact with name, title, phone, fax, and e-mail; your ability experience and familiarity with the previously mentioned items by including past performance references of organizations that you have accomplished similar projects for. Please include contract #, delivery method, types of contracts, POC?s to include names and phone number of clients. All offerors must have an active registration in Central Contractor Registration (CCR), which may be obtained at www.ccr.gov. Any information submitted by respondents to this synopsis is strictly voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information that is submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought Synopsis. The Federal Business Opportunities, www.eps.gov, will be the primary source of information for this acquisition.
