- Description
- AMENDMENT #2 - This requirement remains as originally advertised -- for full and open competition. There is no incumbent for the services. The estimated dollar value of the requirements for the Eastern Logistics Service Area (ELSA) over a 6-year period is approximately $8 million, with individual projects estimated from $200,000 TO $500,000. The applicable North American Industrial Classification codes are listed in the attached Screening Information Request (SIR), and the size standard of $6.5 million dollars is the threshold for average annual receipts over the preceding 3 fiscal years that a business should use to determine if they are considered a small business for the purpose of this particular acquisition. The FAA intends to issue multiple Basic Ordering Agreements as a result of this SIR. Firms can identify the geographical areas in which they can provide services, preferably by regions as outlined in the SIR. The FAA intends to issue the smallest number of BOA's necessary to provide adequate support for the ELSA. IT IS REQUESTED THAT BUSINESSES INTENDING TO SUBMIT RESPONSES TO THIS SIR PROVIDE WRITTEN E-MAIL NOTICE TO teresa.burgess@faa.gov so that their names can be posted on this website to afford smaller businesses subcontracting opportunities. The due date for responses to this SIR is extended to SEPTEMBER 17, 2007. (End of Amendment 2 - 8/24/07) ****************************************************************************** AMENDMENT #1 - REQUIREMENT ON HOLD DUE TO CONSIDERATION OF POTENTIAL SET-ASIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR SMALL BUSINESSES, VETERAN-OWNED BUSINESSES, AND 8(A) BUSINESSES. The due date of September 10, 2007, is suspended until further notice. (End of Amendment 1)(Extended to SEPTEMBER 17, 2007, per Amendement 2 above) ***************************************************************** ORIGINAL ANNOUNCEMENT (8/10/07) The FAA is seeking highly technically qualified, professional environmental (industrial hygiene) services firms with experience working in sensitive 24/7 environments where disruption of services could result in loss of life, and/or endanger life safety. The FAA intends to issue multiple Basic Ordering Agreements (BOA's) for periods not-to-exceed 6 years. This Screening Information Request (SIR) constitutes Phase I of the acquisition under which the technical qualifications of firms will be evaluated. Under Phase II, those firms found to be most technically qualified will be short-listed and will receive a Request for Offer (RFO). Selection of firms whose proposals are determined to represent the overall best value to the agency will then be made, and the FAA intends to issue BOA's to those firms. Responses to the SIR (attached) are due SEPTEMBER 10, 2007, by 4:30 p.m. ET. (Extended to SEPTEMBER 17, 2007, per Amendment 2 above)
