- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-18 and DFARs Change Notice (DCN) 20070531. This acquisition is a small business set-aside. This is a Brand Name acquisition - Offerors must be certified /authorized SGI Resellers to provide support for the M2100984. NAICS is 541319. Solicitation is for commercial purchase of Onyx 4 Maintenance Renewal Full Care Warranty in support of JSF and Lockheed Martin A.4 Program Introduction Document (PID) listed below. General Description: The requirement is for the contractor to provide extended warranty services on one SGI Onyx 4 Simulation Host Computer supporting the Electronic Warfare Group and the 461 FLTS mission rehearsal and control room training requirements at Edwards AFB, CA. Description: The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards AFB, CA has a requirement for a contractor to provide warranty support under Serial No. M2100984, Onyx 4 Full Care Warranty. Manufacturer is Silicon Graphics Inc. (SGI) The Period of Performance/Period of warranty is 23 September 2007 to 22 September 2008. The following are the specifications: Renewal Warranty ?Full Care? in Support of Ultimate Vision NUMA System (UltimateVision NUMA System) a Simulation Host Computer. The 32 x 1 GHZ/8MB Simulation Host Computer currently drives the F-35 Manned Flight Simulators that currently support the JSF PO and Lockheed Martin A.4 PID for mission rehearsal and mission effectiveness testing. The system offers significant advances in performance over prior systems and is required to meet the stringent frame times required by the latest LM release of the Aircraft Trim Linearization and Simulation Software. The warranty for this system was originally on contract through system upgrades. P/N: 7010PONYX4 and is PRODUCT ID: M2100984 Contractor shall provide/perform the following per statement of work: The contractor shall provide comprehensive hardware and software support during standard business hours. This includes: ? Next business day ? On-site response for hardware problems ? Telephone technical support ? Updates to SGI software products ? Monday thru Friday, 7:30 am - 5:30 pm ? Fixed Support Cost, no incremental charges by incident Place of delivery, performance, and acceptance is FOB Destination, Edwards AFB, CA 93524.
