The solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about September 7, 2007. TELEPHONE REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT ACCEPTED. PLEASE DO NOT CALL OR EMAIL INQUIRIES REGARDING THE SOLICITATION UNTIL IT HAS BEEN POSTED. The National Park Service has a requirement to provide professional conservation for components of the archival collections owned by the National Park Service at Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine and Hampton National Historic Site to ensure their long preservation. Items to be conserved include historic prints and engravings, documents and other paper objects. These archival collections are extensive and it is anticipated that treatment will be performed only on a small portion of the whole, based on priorities established in a Paper Condition Survey conducted in June 2007. Objects to be treated are currently located in secure, climate-controlled storage on site at each location. Detailed scope of work and specifications regarding this project will be attached to Solicitation Number Q4340070400. Contractor awarded this contract must be listed on the Central Contractor Registration database (www.ccr.gov). THIS WILL BE A SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE NAICS CODE: 541990 SIZE STANDARD: $6.5M
