Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This solicitation number is Q8896070028 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). NAICS code is 335312. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-19, dated August 17, 2007. This procurement is under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (c), only one responsible source will satisfy agency requirements. The value of this procurement is expected to be under $100,000. The requirement is to purchase two each Caterpillar Generators - Model number D125-6 Diesel Caterpillar Generator set; Standby 125-150kW, Prime 114-135kW. 1800 RPM, 277/480 Volt, three Phase, 60 Hz, complete with all standard equipment and the following options: A) Engine Control System - Electronic Governor, Isochronous regulation B) Engine Cooling System - Unit Mounted Radiator rate for 122 degrees F. ambient Temperature; Low coolant Level Shutdown Circuit; Radiator Transition Flange C) Emissions - Engine is Tier 3 EPA Certified and Meets NSPS Emissions Requirements for 2007 D) Engine Exhaust System - Critical Grade Silencer (25 dBA noise reduction); New Exhaust Stainless Steel Exhaust Flex and installation hardware Piping, Insulation. E) Fuel System - Spin-On Fuel Filter F) Generator and Generator Attachments - Brushless, Revolving Field Type Generator; Voltage Regulator, 1.0 percent Accuracy; Circuit Breaker Main Line-Unit Mounted; Class H Insulation; Anti-condensation Heater; AREP Excitation G) Control Panel - EMCP 3.2 Digital Generator Controller; LCD Display with adjustable contract and backlight with auto power off AC metering: Controls include: RunOff/Auto key and LED Indicator, Adjustable Cycle Cranking: H) Modbus Capable, Service Interval Counter, Real Time Clock I) Emergency Stop - Voltage control Potentiometer J) Mounting system - Integrated Isolators (Between Genset and Skid) K) Starting System - Single Electric Starting Motor; Lead Acid Battery; Battery Charging alternator; Battery Charger (120 Input/12 Volt DC Output @ 3 Amps; Automatic Dual Rate This acquisition is being procured for Kalaupapa National Historic Park located at Kalaupapa, Hawaii 96742. Because of Kalaupapa's unique ocean transportation, barge shipments between Honolulu and Kalaupapa occur during July and September of every year. The final barge for 2007 sails on September 29, 2007 and delivery to Young Brothers, Ltd., Honolulu, HI must be no later than September 27, 2007. If vendor is unable to meet September 29, 2007 sail date, the vendor must be able to store the equipment at their facility and shipped in time to meet July of 2008 sail date. The following provisions and clauses are applicable to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1, 52.213-3, 52.212-5, 52.222-19, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.225-1, 52.232-88. FAR 52.204-7, Registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database is a requirement for award. Register at www.ccr.gov.
