- Amendment 0002 to Reference Number SB3100-7037-3111-A on the epoxy dispensing machine is issued to answer the following questions, to extend the synopsis/solicitation due date, and to provide additional methods for quotation submission. Question 1 - Question 1A.- What exactly is an ISO shelter? Answer ? An ISO shelter is an aluminum honeycomb wall assembly structure that measures 8 feet x 8 feet x 20 feet used for various purposes that have the capability of expanding 2-3 times their folded configuration. Question 1B - Specifically what is the material to be bonded to? Answer ? The material to be bonded is an aluminum plate- approximately 1/8" thick. Question 1C - Is this at 90 degrees (a wall) or 180 degrees (a ceiling)? Answer - Can be used on wall, ceiling, or floor applications. Question 1D - Is there any requirement to provide a dam to hold the adhesive during cure? Answer ? The Government does create a dam with tape or other methods to hold the epoxy during cure. Also, the Government may add Cab-o-sil which thickens the resin for application. Question 2 ? Question 2A - Electric power is not available, but pneumatic is. What cleaning facilities are available? Answer - Cleaning is performed at user location. Question 2B - Is a cleaning station required? Answer - A cleaning station is not required. Question 3 ? Question 3A - What is the current method of dispensing? Answer - The current method of dispersing is listed in the statement of work. Question 3B - Ideally I could call the current users to understand what they like and what they don't like about the current setup. Can you provide these names and contact numbers? Answer ? No. Question 4 - What is the current valve used? Answer - A pneumatic actuated twinmixer dispense valve. Question 5 ? Question 5A - What is a reasonable number of dispenses? Are you planning on filling 2 or 3 holes or hundreds or thousands? Answer - The unit must be capable of dispersing a continuous supply of epoxy. The size & number of holes to be filled on the ISO will vary. Quotation due date is extended to September 5, 2007. The following methods are also acceptable for quotation submission: 1.
