Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Digestive, Diabetes & Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) intends to procure services of Management Alternatives of 1420 K St Ste#500 Washington, D.C. 20005 to manage the relocation of laboratory services. The Institute intends to procure this service by other than full and open competition under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 6.302. The service will involve movement of the following: 1) 600sq ft lab, 2) 15 staff members 3) 5 freezers (full) 4) 3 below the counter refrigerators 5) 10 pieces of benchtop equipment 6) 25 moving crates. Management Alternatives has a proven ability in relocation plan development; coordination with Radiation safety, Chemical removal, and specialized movers or manufacturers of equipment; provision of moving materials (e.g. crates, labels) and on-site supervision before, during and after the move. To the best of the Government?s knowledge Management Alternatives is the only known vendor who specializes in the relocation of laboratory services and is qualified for this task given their experience with other laboratories within National Institutes of Health. This is not a solicitation for competitive proposals. However, if any other interested party believes that it can meet the requirements it may request a copy of the Request for Quotation. Offerors may request a copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) in writing or by FAX to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. It is anticipated that the Request for Quotation (RFQ) NIH-NIDDK-07-376 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipts of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. If you have any questions, please contact Tina Robinson. A determination to compete or not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement. PLEASE NOTE: In order to receive an award, contractor must be registered and have valid certification in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) www.ccr.gov
