- The Department of Air Force is seeking qualified developers for long-term ground lease opportunities at Edwards AFB, CA, Kirtland AFB, NM, Barry M. Goldwater Range (BMGR) at Luke AFB, AZ, and Vandenberg AFB, CA. The objective of this initiative is to develop commercial grade utility scale solar energy at Edwards AFB, Kirtland AFB, BMGR at Luke AFB and wind energy at Vandenberg AFB to maximize the value of the Enhanced Use Lease assets within the constraints and restrictions identified by the Air Force, while developing a successful, long-term, and mutually beneficial business relationship with the Air Force. The Air Force Real Property Agency will be conducting an Industry Forum Meeting to provide more detail about these opportunities on Wednesday and Thursday, September 26-27, 2007 at the Hilton, Ontario Airport located at 700 North Haven Avenue, Ontario, CA 91764.
