Description
The Virginia Contracting Activity, on behalf of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), Logistics Applications Inc., 3300 75th Ave. (Rear Entrance), Landover, MD 20785 intends to award a contract for the following radiation detection equipment: Two (2) Safety Guard Series II Large Vehicle Portals (part # SGSII-6000GN2), six (6) Radeye PRD Radiation Detectors (part # 4250671), six (6) holsters for redeye units (part # 425067046), two (2) speed sensors (part #SGSII-OPT-1), and one-hundred forty (140) detector connection cables (part # WEMC40). DIA?s radiation detection equipment must meet the following minimum requirements: gamma-neutron detection, natural background reduction (NBR) technology to reduce false alarms, large area premium grade scintillation detectors that can operate 24/7, and is a scalable system. Thermo Fisher Scientific produces the only radiation detection systems that meet all four minimum requirements, for this reason there are No substitutions allowed. Receipt of quotations (if submitted) are due NLT 1200, 04 Sep 2007. FAR solicitation provisions 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items; 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items; and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items are applicable to this requirement. No solicitations shall be issued other than this notice.
