- USAID/CAR plans to solicit proposals on a full and open competitive basis from qualified organizations to award a 2 year contract to provide technical assistance to the judiciary in the Kyrgyz Republic to support judicial reform. Activities will focus on increasing judicial independence and decreasing corruption. These activities form part of a Threshold Program supported by the Millennium Challenge Corporation. The objectives of the award include improving: 1) judicial personnel management, including the selection process and disciplinary systems; 2) internal judicial management systems, including budgeting; 3) the commercial legal framework and enforcement of judgements; and 4) access to and the management of judicial information, including through court automation.
