- Description
- The Generator Replacement project, located at the National Institutes of Health?s (NIH) Rocky Mountain Laboratories (RML) in Hamilton, MT, consists mainly of replacing two 208-volt generators with two 1,250 kilowatt, 480-volt generators. The new generators will be housed in their own weatherproof and sound attenuating enclosures and the project includes fuel storage and piping system for generators. In addition to the new generators, a new switchboard, breaker, service board, and transfer switch will be installed. New feeders will be installed including new feeder trench installed under existing concrete floor of Building 7. Feeders to existing buildings and loads will be re-routed to the new gear. General demolition and patching includes concrete pads and flooring, generator exhaust and fuel systems and associated roof patching. The project will have two phases, an initial redistribution of loads and changes in gear and then a final redistribution of loads when the generators are actually installed. The solicitation when published remains 100% set-aside for SMALL BUSINESS. After the site visit: All questions shall be addressed in written format, including the solicitation reference and page number to Jim Parr, at parrj@mail.nih.gov by e-mail only, not later than 3:00 p.m. MST on 31 August 2007. An amendment will be published to address the Governments responses to any questions.
