- The local Contracting Office Address is: Department of Homeland Security, Federal Protective Service, Central Contracting Group West, PO Box 25266, Denver Federal Center Building #44, Denver CO 80225 Description: The Federal Protective Service (FPS) is the security and law enforcement component of the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement. FPS is responsible for protecting federally owned or leased facilities. FPS mission is to provide a safe environment in which federal agencies conduct their business without fear of violence, crime or disorder. FPS Command centers require the assistance of contractor personnel capable of payroll, filing and reception duties in order to accomplish this mission. The forthcoming solicitation is intended to result in a contract to a single Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business for the provision of four contractor personnel to work in FPS offices in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. The anticipated award date is on or around September 1st, 2007, and the performance start date is anticipated to be October 1st, 2007. The solicitation will be made available on or around August 6th, 2007. The anticipated date for receipt of quotations is August 15th, 2007; however, all interested parties should defer to the actual solicitation for official due date. The solicitation will be issued for commercial services in accordance with FAR 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The addresses and hours for service delivery are as follows: -Two individuals in Federal Way, WA 98001; 40 hours/week, M-F, 7:30am-4pm -One individual in Boise, ID 83724; 32 hours/week, M-T, 8am-5pm -Future Portland location to be determined, 32 hours/week, M-T, 8am-5pm Of the four positions to be filled, three are currently occupied by individuals who could qualify to be retained by the successful contractor. The fourth position is currently empty. The three individuals are currently employed by a large corporation and the contract expires on September 30th, 2007. The Contractor is expected to employ the four contract employees and provide them for FPS use as staff augmentation. The contract type is a fixed price contract. The contract period is anticipated to consist of a 12-month base year followed by four one-year option periods for renewal at the discretion of the Government. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. All future information regarding this acquisition, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most recent information concerning this acquisition. Any offeror submitting a proposal is required by the Federal Acquisition Regulations to be registered correctly with Online Representation and Certifications Application (ORCA). In addition, any firm wishing to be considered for contract award should be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (http://www.ccr.gov/) This procurement is 100% set aside for service disabled veteran owned small businesses, under NAICS code 561110 with a business size of less than $6.5million. Offerors not meeting those requirements will be considered non-responsive.
