- The United States Coast Guard Maintenance & Logistics Command, Atlantic intends to issue a Commercial Request for Quote (RFQ) for Dry-dock and repair to the USCGC PAMLICO (WLIC-800), a 160 foot ?B? Class Inland Construction Tender. The Coast Guard intends to conduct the procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The simplified acquisition will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ), on or about 25 AUGUST 2007. The RFQ will be issued via the Federal Business Opportunity (FEDBIZOPS) web page at www.eps.gov. Hard copies of the specification and solicitation will not be issued. A CD-ROM containing all applicable drawings will be sent via U.S. mail, if requested. Send all requests via e-mail to Viki.J.Frey@uscg.mil. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FEDBIZOPS web page for RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. FEDBIZOPS also contains an option for automatic notification service. The NAICS code is 336611. The acquisition will be solicited as SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The vessel?s home pier is located at NEW ORLEANS, LA. The performance period will be twenty-eight (28) days with a start date on or about 3 DECEMBER 2007. The scope of the acquisition is for, but not limited to, the following Base items: (1) Renew Sewage Vacuum Piping, (2) Clean Shipboard Ventilation Systems, (3) Renew Gooseneck Vent, (4) Renew Deck Drains, (5) SSDG Center Section Overhaul, (6) Clean MDE and Boiler Exhaust Stack Uptakes and SSDG Exhaust Piping, (7) Installation of Total Flooding Fixed Fire Fighting System. Trained welders who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures shall accomplish all welding and brazing.
