- This is a notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source contract to Eckel Industries Inc, 155 Fawcett St., Cambridge, MA 02138 for the purchase of an audio anechoic chamber under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This requirement is being advertised under under FAR 12, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The above named vendor is believed to be the only source that can meet all of the required specifications. The Eckel chamber panel has a rating of 48 that is not offered by other companies. Certain chamber construction procedures are also unique to Eckel. This Notice of Intent is NOT a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for competitive quotes. Interested parties may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform this effort in writing (electronically) to Debra E. Chapman at dchapman@fbiacademy.edu. A determination not to compete this proposed requirement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
