- This announcement constitutes Solicitation number FA4801-07-T-0018, which will be issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract. Per Far 36.204 the Magnitude of the project is estimated to be in the following range: Less than $25,000.00. The solicitation shall incorporate provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC 2005-16).This acquisition is to be set-aside and awarded to a small business concern. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 238990. The size standard is $ 13 million. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The contractor shall remove and dispose the existing rolling vehicle gate, gate operator, guide rollers, brackets, control box, and the concrete foundation next to BUILDING 1052. The contractor shall install a new gate that is 20 inches long x 8 inches high with new tracks for rollers, 12inches wheels and topped with three (3) strands of barbed wire. The new chain link fabric shall be 9-guage with 2 inches square mesh. All materials shall be galvanized coated and continuously welded. The Contractor shall saw cut around the perimeter for the new wheel tracks and the new pavement shall be 16 inches long x 5 inches wide with new 12 inches deep concrete and 6 inches of compacted base course material. The new gate and all guide rails must align with the existing fence. Install a 10 feet high x 4 inches diameter post at the north end of the gate opening and the old post can be used if in good condition but will be installed at 36 inches deep x 24 inches diameter concrete foundation. The Contractor shall install a new gate operator that is HY-Security Model 222 E, or approved equal. The new gate operator shall contain Safety Vehicle Detector on both sides, Photo Electric Eye (beam type), and heater. The contractor shall install a new push button control devise inside the Guard Shack with new 120 volt, single phase wiring and dispose of all the old electrical components. More details are included in the Statement of Work and attachments. PROJECT DETAILS: The solicitation, which will include the site visit date and time, as well as, other attachments will be posted on or about 30 Jul 07 and must be downloaded from FEDBIZOPPS. IMPORTANT NOTICES: 1) RFQ submission must be in accordance with solicitation. 2) If contractor is not registered in the Central Contractor Registry, they are not eligible for award (Ref, DFARS 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration). 3) All amendments, if applicable, must be acknowledged.
