Description
The disk-based recorder contains two removable 144 Gb disks. The system comes configured with four analog input and output channels and four digital (PCM) input and output channels. Each analog channel can sample from .5 to 20 MSPS. Each digital channel can sample from 0 to 40 Mb/sec. The relative timing is better than 1 Microsecond. The absolute timing is better than 10 microseconds. The recorder also contains its own internal built-in MUX which has the ability to support up to 12 analog channels and 12 digital channels simultaneously. The recorder has a total aggregate rate of 220 Mb/sec in mirrored mode and 440 Mb/sec in striped mode. The recorder can be locally controlled using the intuitive front panel (REC, STOP, PLAY) or remotely controlled through the RS-232 port and GUI. The system includes archive/restore support (using an optionally provided external SCSI tape device, such as AIT-3 or DAS3000-AIT3 Tape Array) and PC/workstation data transfer. Additionally, the recorder employs a built-in-test (BIT) which confirms system integrity. The optional controller for the DRS2100E-144Gb-4A4D provides single point GUI based platform to control DRSXX00E and DAS3000; provides PC-based hardware and software for archive of recorded data; provides PC-based hardware and software to restore archived data to recorder; provides PC-based hardware and software for data products generation; provides cost effective PC-based hardware and software platform to deliver archive and data products via removable hard drives, USB drives, USB memory sticks, CD, DVDs, etc.; provides PC-based hardware and software for remote control utilizing XP remote desktop via Gbit Eternet port; and IU rack mount. This disk-based recorder will be used in conjunction with the existing system. It must be in exact form, fit and function with DRS2100E-144Gb-4A4D. The DRS2100E-144Gb-4A4D records signals using Wideband Systems, Inc?s proprietary data format. All signals that have been recorded onto the DRS2100E-144Gb-4A4D can only be reproduced on the DRS2100E-144Gb-4A4D (or other Wideband Systems recorders) because of the proprietary data format. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the disk-based recorder, controller and cable. Responses may be sent via e-mail to rachel.cavanna@edwards.af.mil or mailed to AFFTC/PKEAD, 5 South Wolfe Ave, Edwards AFB, CA 93524-1185, Attention: Rachel Cavanna. Fax Number: 661-277-0470. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Air Force not to open the requirement to open competition, based on response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Air Force. If the office has not received any affirmative written responses by 12 noon PST, 17 August 2007, a Sole Source purchase order will be pursued with WideBand Systems, 2408 Linden Lane, Silver Spring, MD 20910.
