- REPAIR OF THE COMPLETE ANGEL SCATTER INSTRUMENT (CASI?): The solicitation number is FA8601-07-T-0060. The proposed contract is to repair the following nine (9) components of the CASI?: 1. CASI computer and software upgrade 2. 633-nm band-pass filter 3-6.800-, 1.2-, 1.6- and 2-mm field stops 7. 67-mm CaF?? microscope objective 8. 250-um pinhole assembly 9. Low-noise pre-amp board The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (1) and FAR 6.302-1(a) (2) (iii). The proposed source is Schmitt Measurement Systems, Inc., which is the manufacturer and owner of the proprietary data necessary to make the repairs. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotation received within ten (10) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotations should be faxed to Robin M.
