Description

1. BACKGROUND: The Air Force Drug Testing Laboratory (AFDTL) is a subordinate organization of the Air Force Surgeon General?s Office and located at Brooks City-Base, Texas. 2. REQUIREMENTS: 2.1 Scope of Work: The AFDTL receives approximately 8,000 urine samples weekly or roughly 60,000 pounds annually. Disposal of excess sample and collection bottles is too manpower intensive for laboratory staff. The AFDTL requires services to be provided that accomplish the following: 2.2 Objective One: The service provider shall provide supplies for disposal of sample collection bottles with excess sample, to include reusable plastic containers (96 gallon), color-coded bags, and all necessary labels. 2.3 Objective Two: The service provider shall provide disposal service sufficient to remove all discarded samples. 2.4 Objective Three: The service provider shall ensure that all data on sample containers are completely destroyed. 2.5 Objective Four: The service provider shall provide evidence that reflects that sample containers are being weighed and destroyed. The service provider will also provide evidence that contract costs are being tracked and managed. 3. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The period of performance shall be for one (1) year from Notice to Proceed (NTP).
