Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Electronic Proving Ground, Fort Huachuca, Arizona is soliciting proposals for the following requirement: 8 each, Panasonic Toughbook 19 Convertible Rugged Laptop with the following c onfiguration: 80GB Hard Disk Drive; 512MB SDRAM (DDR2); Intel Core DUO U2400 1.06GHz Processor; 10.4 in XGA TFT, Transmissive, anti-reflective, Outdoor-View Screen Display; Microsoft Windows XP Professional; 56K Modem; 10/100 Ethernet LAN; 802.11a+b+g Wir eless LAN, Bluetooth; Dual Pass Through; Lithium Ion Rechargeable Battery Pack; 50-60Hz Auto Sens Adapter; Three Year Warranty; Adobe Acrobat Reader and DMI View software; to include the following options: Toughbook 19 Upgrade to Digitizer Stylus Touch; 2 GB Memory Card; spare removvable 80GB Hard Disk Drive; Integrated Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) Receiver; AC Adapter (3 pin); Lithium Ion Battery Pack; External Battery Charger; Automobile/Airline Power Adapter; Rubber Backlit Keyboard; external USB D VD/CDRW Combo Drive; FieldMate Always-on Carrying Case (hands-free) for the Toughbook 19; 10.4in LCD Protector Film (for Digitizer); 2 each, large stylus pens (for Digitizer); Microsoft Office 2007 Professional; Adobe Acrobat Professional v.8.0; Roxio Easy Media Creator 9 Suite; Symantec Norton Anti-Virus 2007 Standard. FOB DESTINATION: Fort Huachuca, Arizona. Payment will be made by Government credit card under Net 30 Terms. Offers are due no later than 12 noon, Mountain Standard Time, Wednesday, 8 Augu st 2007. EVALUATION CRITERIA/PROCEDURES: Offers will be evaluated based on the following best value criteria in descending order of importance: Meeting the requirement, Proposed Delivery Schedule, Past Performance, and Price. All Electronic and Information Technology will be Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 compliant. T he following FAR provision 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors Commercial items, applies to the acquisition. FAR provision 52.212-2, Evaluation of Commercial Items, applies to the acquisition (See evaluation criteria above).
