Description

Notice of Intent to Award the Purchase of Lifetime Learning Software Maintenance from Liafail, Inc.The Contracting Center of Excellence (CCE), Army Contracting Agency, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Liafail Inc., located at 8120 Pen n Ave S. Ste 444, Minneapolis, MN 55431-1326 to provide annual maintenance agreements for The Army Continuing Education System (ACES), under the Deputy Chief of Staff, G1 (DCS, G-1), to 97 installations where the proprietary software is installed. The ma intenance agreements shall include but are not limited to software updates to fix software bugs, user support/reinstallation issues, and software maintenance. In addition, it will include fixes to accommodate current Army security standards, if needed. T he fixes will also allow the software to fully function when the user does not have power user or administrative rights. The contract period shall be for one year which will start October 1, 2007 and end 30 September 2008, with four 1-year option years. Liafail is the only vendor that can provide the software maintenance as all their software is proprietary. This announcement is in accordance with FAR 5.101(a) (2). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability statements no later than A ugust 3, 2007, 1:00pm EST. The capability statements should include the company name, address, contact information, business size, and detailed explanation of how your organization can meet the requirement described herein. All statements should be subm itted via email to Mr. Julian O. Boggan Sr., Contract Specialist at julian.boggan@hqda.army.mil. Individual responses containing company proprietary information must be marked accordingly. Such information will not be released outside the Government. Furt hermore, the Government shall not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for any technical information identified (e.g., limited and/or restricted rights).
