Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provision/clauses are those in effect as of 1 January 2007 through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-17. NAICS Code 326130. A notice of award, Std Form 1449, may result in a binding contractual action, without discussion or further action by either party. The right to conduct discussions is reserved. The requirement is as follows: 1. Material: Aramid (Kevlar) reinforced plastic (KRP) panels meeting MIL-DTL- 62474 Type I, Class B. 2. Dimensions: 48" x 72" (these are dimensions of the minimum usable amount of materials the panels will contain. Actual dimensions will be approximately 49" x 73". 3. Thickness: 34 plies (.700"-.800"). 4. Form: Panels will be supplied with "as molded" edges. There will be approximately 1" of unusable material on the ends and sides. 5. Quantity 27 49" x 73" panels. Note: Certification that panels meet the material, construction and process requirements called out in the specification will be provided. Two ballistic samples of 20" x 20" are required for each lot. Ballistic samples may be shipped concurrently with first delivery or sooner. Contractor to determine best shipping method. Delivery first of 3 sheets is required by 15 September 2007. Remaining 24 sheets by 30 October 2007 Delivery shall be made to: Commander Aberdeen Test Center 400 Colleran Road BLDG 358-CSTE-DTC-AT-SL-V ATTN: John Miller 3-7204 Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-5059 TERMS: FOB Destination. Inspection and Acceptance shall be performed by the Government for kind, count, and condition. The following Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense FAR (DFAR) provisions/clauses are applicable and are incorporated by reference: FAR:52.211-15, 52.212-1, 2, 3, Alt I, 4 & 5, DFAR:252.212-7000 & 7001, 252.225-7000, 7001 & 7002, 252.227- 7015. Receipt of transmission by the Government is required by the Date and Time specified on this RFQ. If the offeror has not completed certifications and representations on Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA), they shall be required to submit a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3 and Return it with their offer (can be provided under separate cover at the request of a potential offeror). The offeror who fulfills all features as delineated above and offers the lowest priced offer will be selected for award. Please refer to Numbered Note 27.
