- NOTICE: Only local sources will be considered under this solicitation. Local sources are sources (e.g. corporations or partnerships) that are physically located in Japan and authorized (i.e. licensed and registered) to perform in Japan, the type of construction work specified in this solicitation. Specifically, a prospective offeror must be duly authorized to operate and conduct business in Japan and must fully comply with all laws, decrees, labor standards, and regulations of Japan during the perf ormance of the resulting contract. In addition, prior to award of the contract, offeror must be registered with the Government of Japan to do construction work in Japan and possess necessary construction licenses and permits to perform work required under this solicitation. PROJECT INFORMATION: Work inlcudes removal and replacement of the existing HVAC system including chilled water units, pumps, and piping, air handling units, and all associated ductwork and equipment. The restoration work will include new VAV boxes, control systems, an electric resistant heating system, and incidental architectural/electrical work related to the removal and replacement of the HVAC system such as the replacement of suspended ceiling and lig hting systems where similar materials will be removed. New work will include the installation of new suspended ceiling, gypsum board enclosures, and lighting systems in building areas where no such systems currently exists. The solicitation will be issued on or about August 8, 2007. The magnitude of this project is between 50,000,000 Japanese Yen and 100,000,000 Japanese Yen.
