- SOLICITATION NO. 301816B049 PROJECT TITLE: Restoration of Spaulding Drain Dike Phase III PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Restoration of the Spaulding Dike Project shall consist of the following: Restoration of a 5700 foot long earth fill dike and removal of one corrugated metal pipe water control structure and pipeline including: excavation, dewatering, trenching, backfill, placement, installation of geo textile fabric, riprap, shaping, grading, and seeding of embankment and the placement of gravel as shown on the construction drawings. It is anticipated that performance will begin in earl fall of 2007 with a performance period of 150 calendar days after issuance of a notice to proceed with the work. A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated that will require performance and payment bonding to cover the estimated ceiling magnitude cost of the project. ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $500,000 and $1000,000. This procurement is issued unrestricted under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, Public Law 100-656, and is NOT set-aside exclusively for small business concerns. For information purposes, the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction with a Small Business size standard of $31 Million dollars. The Solicitation Package will be available via electronic commerce at http://ideasec.nbc.gov and http://www.fedbizopps.gov on or about August 16, 2007 with a Bid Opening occurring on or about September 18, 2007.
