- The National Park Service is seeking a contractor to furnish all materials, labor, transportation and equipment necessary to provide and install a new 6-inch water main at Cumberland Gap National Historical Park in Bell County, Kentucky. Work required includes the installation of approximately 1,400 feet of new 6-inch, flexible, HDPE pipeline running parallel to the exiting 4-inch waterline. The new system will have two mechanical shut-off valves to facilitate future repairs, leak isolation, or additional branch pipeline connections, and will also include pressure reducer valves at various locations. Magnitude of this project is $50,000 to $100,000. Procurement is being conducted as a 100% small business aside. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 237110 with a size standard of $31.0 million. This notice is not the solicitation. The solicitation package will be available on or about August 16, 2007, with quotes due on or about September 7, 2007 (see solicitation for exact dates). The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Quotations electronically on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) web site, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be made available. The Standard Form 18 is available at the website by clicking on the "printer friendly form" link.
