- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River, MD, announces its intent to contract for applied research and development to design and develop an optimized approach to providing high optical density fixed wavelength laser eye protection that is adaptable to mulitple substrates and applications. This proposed effort will be a sole souce award to Holographic Optics, 358 Saw Mill River Road, Millwood, New York 10546. This notice provides pre-solicitation information to parties who feel they are capable of providing the above-mentioned services. It is the Government?s intent to award a single contract to the offeror who provides the best overall value to the Government. The anticipated period of performance includes 5 years. Performance of the contract will be at the contractors facility. Interested parties please submit a capabilites package to Sabana Moore via email at sabana.moore@navy.mil. All capability packages must provide a detailed description of any and all relevant technologies pertaining to applied research and development to design and develop an optimized approach to providing high optical density fixed wavelength laser eye protection that is adaptable to mulitple substrates and applications. All responses must also include the following information: (1) Reference N00421-07-Q-0700 in the subject line (2) Company Name; (3) Company Address; (4) Company Business Size; (5) Point of Contact (POC) Name, telephone number, fax number, and email address. Any responses without this information will not be accepted. This announcement is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP) and does not commit the Government to award a contract under the above listed terms. See Note 22.
