- Description
- This is a synopsis for an upcoming Invitation For Bid (IFB). This IFB will result in a firm fixed price contract for FY07 Special Project TRZR 03-1006, Repair Breakwater Phase III, Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal. The Work includes the completion of the harbor breakwater. This includes quarrying of stone and casting of concrete armor units. It will be necessary for the Contractor to remove temporary armor protection near and at the head of the breakwater and provide access to the Work. The breakwater will be repaired by the placement of an armor stone berm and Core-Loc concrete armor units. The repairs to this breakwater commenced in 2003 after a severe storm threatened the harbor facilities. Work has proceeded since that time. This Contract is scheduled to complete the Work. The Work also includes a concrete head structure with Navigation Lights and incidental related work. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, engineering, materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, and transportation required to perform all of the services described in the specifications for the contract. The approximate Solicitation Release Date is August 16, 2007. The estimated price range is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. This project is unrestricted. This solicitation is available in electronic format only. All documents will be in the Adobe Acrobat PDF file format via the Internet.
