- The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) Bethesda, MD intends to negotiate on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with CF Medical Inc, Danvers, MA for the Philips MP70 IntelliVue Patient Monitor, with remote view monitor. These items are being procured as a commercial item in accordance with the procedures in FAR Pt. 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Pt.13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The requested items will be used for research at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), Bethesda, MD, Patient Simulation Lab (PSL). The Philips MP70 IntelliVue Patient Monitor, with remote view monitor will support the required limited clinical network that connects the simulated operating room suite with the simulation support room. The Philips MP70 IntelliVue Patient Monitor, with remote view monitor is capable of interfacing with automated records and patient data computer systems, which will be used during patient simulations. It is essential to buy the Philips MP70 IntelliVue Patient Monitor, with remote view monitor to continue research productively. Standardization with the Philips IntelliVue MP70 system has already occurred between the National Naval Medical Center (NNMC), and Walther Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC), which will continue accuracy in transfer of data and technological practice in a real life clinical environment.
