- The issue date for this solicitation is August 6, 2007. The U.S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals from Pre-qualified Contractors for Site Security Upgrade at the San Mateo, CA ISSC. The project is to be completed in 360 days after notice to proceed. Estimated range is $3,000,000-$3,500,000. This is an owned facility. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to demolition of paving, landscaping, fencing and concrete; construction of new paving; concrete planters, flatwork, ramps and handrails; landscaping; lightfoliers and other electrical work; security system cameras, card readers, panic stations, etc.; fencing and gates; and a metal building. The proposal must contain the offerors overhead, profit, insurance, and all other contingencies. No allowance for such items will be made after contract award. Offers will not be publicly opened. All proposal information will remain confidential until award. Pre-proposal conference will be held Wednesday, August 15, 2007, 10:00 a.m. at the site. Const.; The McDonald Glenn Co.; Vitton Construction Co., Inc.; and West Coast Contractors. No additions will be made to the list of pre-qualified contractors for this project.
