- VA Illiana Health Care System, Danville, IL intends to award a contract to Becker Construction Contractor Inc for Project SL-07-018, Renovate Peoria CBOC for Realignment. The Peoria Community Based Outpatient Clinic, 411 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Dr., Peoria, Illinois will be renovated by Becker, the owner of the facility in which the renovations are to take place. Work includes but not limited to general construction, demolition, alterations, mechanical, electrical, painting, plumbing, necessary removal of existing structures, construction, and certain other items as indicated on the specifications and drawings. All work will be in strict compliance with all applicable codes and VA regulations. This will be a firm fixed price contract. The NAICS code is 236220. The small business size standard is $31Mil. The completion time for this project is 60 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. The estimated construction cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Solicitation No. VA-251-07-RQ-0169 will be available at www.fbo.gov on or before August 31, 2007 with a quotation due date of September 21, 2007. Hard copies of the solicitation specifications will not be available. Electronic solicitations specifications may be obtained FREE at www.fbo.gov. Drawings will be available electronically with the solicitation specifications. It is recommended that interested prospective subcontractors and/or material suppliers complete the solicitation mailing list on the web site before downloading the solicitation. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will also be available at the URL address.
