- Description
- The VA Western New York Healthcare System, part of Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 2, intends to award a firm fixed-price contract for the mechanical upgrade of the automatic doors at its Buffalo and Batavia campuses to comply with American Association of Automatic Door Manufacturers (AAADM) specifications. These upgrades are to be applied to all doors listed on the attached door/pricing list. Upgrades shall include all materials, parts, labor, service, transport, and any other associated fees. Upgrades shall provide adherence to all industry-standard safety specifications, as well as compliance with allthe latest publication of current ANSI standards for power operated pedestrian doors (ANSI/BHMA A156.10). Upon upgrade of each door, the contractor will issue a report of the corrective actions and certify the door as AAADM inspected and compliant. The inspector will apply an AAADM sticker to each upgraded door listing the inspector's AAADM number and the date of last inspection/certification. This solicitation will be released and posted to Fed Biz Ops on 8/30/2007. This solicitation will be a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside.
