Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation FA4877-07-Q-0604 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This will be a full and open competitive award. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-09. Description: Training Classes 1. Networking Essentials including TCP/IP and Subnetting (Network+ Certification) ? 2 separate classes totaling 20 students ? class includes CompTIA Network+ Certification Exam, tools, book, and study guide. A hands-on class covering the fundamentals of networking - including network design and setup, TCP/IP, wireless access point setup, common network troubleshooting. This class is part of the DoD's directive 8570.1M for IA networking staff includes having employees receive training and hold relevant industry certifications such as A+, Network+, Security+ and CISSP. The cost of one certification exam is included. 2. Introduction to IT Security Overview (Security+ Certification) ? Class for 6 students - Class includes CompTIA Security+ Certification Exam, book and study guide. This Security+ class teaches "the crucial concepts behind IT security." This hands-on overview class covers security concepts anyone working on a network or in an enterprise environment should know. Class exercises and training will help prepare students to take CompTIA Security+ exam, learn the fundamentals of IT Security, and including wireless and encryption. This course is part of the DoD's directive 8570.1M for IA networking staff includes having employees receive training and hold relevant industry certifications such as A+, Network+, Security+ and CISSP. The cost of one certification exam is included. 3. Dates of classes will be coordinated with the customer at a later date prior to or after award. The 2 Network+ classes will not be held concurrently. Courses will be offered onsite at DMAFB, Tucson, AZ. Vendor needs to provide everything listed in descriptions 1 and 2 of this synopsis. NAICS code can be negotiated at a later date. Please provide quote if you can meet he requirements stated in this synopsis.
