- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued at this site. The solicitation number is RFP W91WAW-07-T-0188 and is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The Contracting Center of Excellence, on behalf of the Inspector General (OID), DoD Office of the Chief of Staff requires the purchase of CISCO ASA VPN 5520 Edition w/500 SSL User License. This procurement will be restricted to Small Business concerns. The Request for Proposal can be obtained from the AFSI web site as follows: https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/default.cfm. From the AFSI web site, click on Contacting Opportunities; then search by the solicitation number W91WAW-07-T-0188. Responses to this Combined Synopsis/Solicitation must be signed, dated, and received via electronic mail 10 September 2007 no later than 1:00PM Eastern Time at the Contracting Center of Excellence, 5200 Army Pentagon, Washington, DC 20310-5200. Responses should be marked with the solicitation number and addressed to Barbara Hawthorne, Contract Specialist. Vendors not registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award will not be considered. Vendors may register with CCR by c alling 1-800-334-3414 or register on line at http://www.CCR.gov No information, questions concerning this RFP or request for clarifications will be provided in response to telephone calls. Formal communications such as requests for clarification, information or questions concerning this RFP shall be submitted in writin g, and emailed to: Barbara Hawthorne, Contract Specialist, at (703) 695-0747, or email Barbara.Hawthorne@hqda.army.mil.
