Description
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Contracting Department, Norfolk Office, Norfolk VA, 23511-3392 intends to negotiate a sole source Firm Fixed-Price contract (see numbered note 22) with Oceaneering International Inc. for installation of mechanical and software upgrades to the Advanced SEAL Delivery System Mission Simulator and Lock in/Lock out Trainer on location at the SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team ONE facility in Pearl City, HI in support to the U. S. Naval Special Warfare Command. The mechanical and software upgrades will be acquired in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Subpart 13 ? Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The mechanical and software upgrades will be required for a period of performance from 24 September 2007 through 16 March 2008. The North American Industry Classification System code for this acquisition is 541330. A request for a complete proposal package will be availab le for download on or about 31 August 2007 at the following websites: http://www.neco.navy.mil or www.fedbizopps.gov. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above cites. This office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting an offer, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for award to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make a contractor ineligible for award.
