Description

This effort is for the GUI conversion to JAVA. Develop and document standards for converting all SP23 (eventually all SSP) Graphical User Interfaces from Motif to JAVA for future SSBN and SSGN applications. This shall include development of a prototype that highlights the integration of applications between NSWCDD and GDAIS. The purpose of this prototype is to develop and proof processes that would eventually be used to eliminate dependence on Vxwindows. Information Assurance: Develop a white paper that defines SWS strategies for IA certification and accreditation and a template for SSAA. Develop an integrated Fleet Doc development program to ensure the SSI Fleet. Develop a MultiLevel Security Technologies and architecture study. Develop a Wireless Air Space Management and EMI/EMC Requirement Concepts. Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS), Pittsfield, MA. GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the TRIDENT II D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Control System and Attach Weapons Control System and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the required effort.
