- This sources sought notice is hereby amended as follows: The US Army Joint Munitions & Lethality Life Cycle Management Command (JM&L LCMC), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ and the US Army Sustainment Command (ASC), Rock Island, IL are jointly conducting a market survey in support of the Project Manager, Combat Ammunition Systems. The purpose is to identify potential sources capable of manufacturing, inspecting, assembling, packaging and delivering the following Artillery and Mortar component items in accordance with Government Technical Data Packages (TDPs) and applicable contract requirements: Artillery Lifting/Shock Attenuating Plugs, Cable Assemblies, Containers (105mm Artillery Cartridge, Mortar Illumination and Smoke Cartridges), Pallets (Wood/Metal), Parachutes (155mm Artillery, 60mm, 81mm and 120mm Mortar Cartridges), Fuze Adapters (60mm, 81mm, and 120mm Mortar Cartridges), Gas Absorbent Modules (GAMS) (81mm Mortar), Burster (60mm, 81mm, and 120mm Mortar and 155mm Artillery), Fins (60mm and 81mm Mortar Cartridges), Mortar Body Tubes and Tail Cones (60mm and 81mm). Subsequent to reviewing responses to this market survey, the Government anticipates soliciting offerors for award of Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts to deliver the Army and Marine Corps FY09 ??? FY18 production requirements for the items identified above. It is anticipated that multiple IDIQ contracts will be awarded for a basic period of five years, with five options for an additional one-year each. Potential contractors will be qualified for one or more requirements. Delivery Orders will then be competed among those qualified contractors. A Pre-solicitation Industry Day is anticipated to be scheduled during the 2nd Quarter FY08. This market survey is restricted to small business concerns. Interested sources should respond with a letter of interest containing the following information: A brief summary of your company's capabilities, description of facilities, personnel, related manufacturing and technical experience and qualification data. If applicable, identify any previous contracts for supply of the requested components. Interested sources may submit their capabilities for one or more of the component item categories listed above. All interested parties should submit their information to JM&L LCMC POC Attn: magda.m.szymanski@us.army.mil. All information collected from this market survey shall be used for planning purposes only. This announcement is not a request for proposals nor an obligation on the part of the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited. Please identify any proprietary information submitted. Information provided will become the property of the US Army and will not be returned. All information submitted will be held in a confidential status. Responses to this market survey shall be accepted electronically up until close of business on 30 September 2007.
