Description

This project includes the complete destruction to an unusable state and disposal of one 2,000 gallon Above Ground Storage Tank (AST). The AST is a dual steel walled tank with 6" reinforced concrete casing. The tank's dimensions are approximately 11'-3" x 8'-0" x 5'-6" (L-W-H). The remaining unleaded fuel in the tank is approximately 300 gallons and shall also be disposed of. The tank may be removed from the site and destroyed or it may be destroyed on-site. If it is destroyed on-site, work shall be performed over an asphalt/concrete surface and any spillage of remaining un-leaded fuel or other hazardous material shall be immediately cleaned up following all State and Federal procedures. Any damage to the surrounding equipment, fencing or landscape shall be repaired by the Contractor at the Contractor's expense. If it is necessary to remove the surrounding fencing to facilitated demolition of the tank, removal and replacement shall be the work of the Contractor. The Contractor shall provide for traffic control during the work of this contract. Work shall be performed to all Local, State and Federal mandates and codes. All required paperwork for "decommissioning" of the above 2,000 gallon AST shall be provided to the Contracting Officer or their representative in duplicate upon completion of work.
