Description

The U. S. Geological Survey, WSC, Troy, NY intends to make award on a sole source basis, to Mount Sopris Instrument Company, Inc., Golden, CO to purchase borehole geophysical logging equipment. The items to be purchased are designed to interface with the Mount Sopris system already in use. The WSC personnel have been using Mount Sopris Instrument Co. for a number of years and are satisfied with their capabilities. The WSC has determined that after considering alternative sources that that the intensive validation process to determine the viability would be prohibitive. There is no written solicitation for this requirement. This award will be made on or about September 5, 2007 under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold of $100,000.00. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 334519. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No additional synopsis will be published.
