Description

Under the authority of FAR 6, subpart 6.302, the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center Augusta, GA (VISN 7), contemplates negotiation of a sole source procurement with Dr. William R. Delaune, 1023 Cannon Drive, Social Circle, GA 30023. Dr. Delaune will provide research and development services for the bio-statistical and methodological design, development and guidance of multiple projects for aging Veterans with vision loss in support of the VA Rehabilitation Research and Development Center of Excellence for Aging Veterans with Vision Loss, Atlanta, GA. The Performance Period will be October 1, 2007 through September 30, 2008 with four option years for renewal. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 541720 with a standard size 500 employees. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 3 days after publication of this synopsis. Interest parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature, detailing how their products/services meet VA requirements to the Contracting Officer or by fax at 478-274-5609. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Solicitation will be issued on or about September 4, 2007. This procurement is subject to the availability of FY 2008 Funds.
