Description

There is no solicitation. The United States Fish and Wildlife Service, Contracting and Genereal Services Division in Atlanta, GA has plans to award to using other than full and open competition to Blanchard Machinery Company. This tractor will be only used for fire suppession, which requires a pull type fire plow and tandem, axle, single vehicle transportation. This tractor is the only highly qualified tractor, however it is the only rare tractor to offers Lexan glass for doors and front window ( opposed to steel screens) for improved visibility , high ground clearance, and lower ground pressure and larger ground contact area for less ground disturbance as ikt will only be used to help fire suppression. The Service intends to award Sole Source to Blanchard Machinery Company. This synopsis is a notice of intent to issue award using other than full and open competition and is not a request for competitive proposals. The determination of the Government not open subject requirement to full and open competition was made FAR 6.302-1. Technical inquires may be directed to Mark Parker at 843-858-1179.
