Description
The United States Air Force School of AeroSpace Medicine requires Hyperbaric Medical and Wound Care nursing services. The Government intends to procure on other than full and open basis with International ATMO, INC. for these commercial services. FAR Part 12 applies. Services will include: Teaching, compiling patient medical history, providing basic to advanced hyperbaric wound care procedures, setup and maintenance of the Alaris Medisystem III Intravenous pump and IMPACT eagle Ventilator. The nurse will perform Transcutaneous Oxygen monitoring (TCOM), Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) calculations, Intravenous /parenteral therapies, electrocardiograph recordings (EKG) and perform digital wound photography. The nurse will perform nursing care and manage the patient movement in and out of the hyperbaric chambers. The nurse must possess at a minimum an Associates Degree in Nursing, a current Advanced Clinical Hyperbaric Nurse certification and maintain a valid Texas registered Nursing license. The nurse must have five (5) years experience in clinical hyperbaric medicine and have five (5) years in clinical hyperbaric wound care. This requirement is for a period of one year. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
