Description

STATEMENT OF WORK The John D. Dingell Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 4646 John R. Street, Detroit, MI 48201 intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with American Medical Depot, 630 West 84th Street, Hialeah, FL 33014. The proposed contract action is for the purchase of a Selecta II 100v footswitch, one pair of safety spectacles, operator manual and Laser Safety Sign. 1.0X Magnification maintains laser spot size and 1 to 1 laser energy delivery. Tilted anterior lens surface corrects astigmatism to maintain circular laser beam profile and give sharp images for examination. Large 63-degree mirror yields bright image for angle photography. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302(a)(2)(ii). All FAR provisions and clauses may be reviewed and/or obtained from the General Service Internet address http://www.arnet.gov/far. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notice, is solely the discretion of the government. Firms that believe they can meet the VA's requirements must submit proof to the Contracting Officer, Diane Foster, e-mail: diane.foster@va.gov or fax (313) 576-1327 no later than September14, 2007 at 10:00a.m. Local time. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the government.
