Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is DG133W-07-RQ-0894 and this solicitation is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The provisions and clauses in effect are hereby incorporated through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-19. The NAICS code for this procurement is 664511. The purpose of this solicitation is for Doppler radar training for the meteorological service of Jamaica to finalize the rehabilitation of their monitoring and predictive capabilities for weather analysis. The training will teach Jamaican students how to use the full featured data analysis and display software system. The period of performance is September 24-29, 2007. The place of performance is Kingston, Jamaica. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors?Commercial, applies to this acquisition. FAR clause 52.212-2, Evaluation?Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: technical, past performance, and price. Technical and past performance, when combined, are more important when compared to price. Technical is more important than past performance. Offerors must include a completed copy of the provision at FAR clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications?Commercial Items. FAR clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions?Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. FAR clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders?Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
