- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued RFQ-61903-0002-8 is issued as a Request for Quote. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-12. This acquisition is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS code for this requirement is 424430; the small business size standard is 100 employees. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution located at 741-925 Herlong Access Road A-25, Herlong, California, 96113, is requesting quotes for milk. SCHEDULE OF ITEMS: 1. Milk, Non Fat, Shelf Stable, Homogenized, Vitamins A&D added, Aseptically processed and packaged, Hermetically sealed in a polyethylene bag with sterile rubber pinch-type dispenser tube. CID A-A20113, Group A, Type IV or V, Six-gallon container or five-gallon container. Quantity: 6,500 containers annually. 2. Milk, Non Fat, half-pint cartons, Kosher. Quantity 78,000 cartons annually. DELIVERY SCHEDULE: Line Item 0001: Estimate of 550 gallons to be delivered weekly, each Tuesday or Wednesday (as mutually agreed upon by the Government and Contractor) prior to 10:30 a.m. beginning October 2, 2007 through September 29, 2008. (53 deliveries) The contractor will be contacted prior to each delivery and advised of the exact quantity required. Line Item 0002: Estimate of 1100, half-pint cartons to be delivered weekly, each Tuesday or Wednesday (as mutually agreed upon by the Government and Contractor) prior to 10:30 a.m. beginning October 2, 2007 through September 29, 2008. (53 deliveries) The contractor will be contacted prior to each delivery and advised of the exact quantity required. All quantities are estimates only. There are no minimum or maximum quantities guaranteed or specified. All prices must be quoted plus (+) or minus (-) the monthly Notice of Lowest Observed Retail Price For Milk. EVALUATION FACTORS: The Government intends to make a single award to the lowest-priced technically acceptable offer. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database at www.ccr.gov. In conjunction with required registration in the CCR database, prospective contractors shall also complete electronic annual representations and certifications at http://orca.bpn.gov. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
